Lighten Up – A new way to improve skin without surgery
We’ve all heard of facials, masks and treatments that claim to instantly improve your skin. Some of them work wonders, but others are all talk. Here’s a new one to add to your list of those that walk the work: LED Photo rejuvenation.
Always willing to be a guinea pig in the name of beauty. I gave it a try earlier this year at Nordstrom’s Osmotics counters (www.osmotics.com). Tucked back in the far corner of the cosmetics department, there’s a small nook with a plush reclining table and a futuristic-looking unit....
The Treatment uses LED (light emitting diode) in combination with specially formulated gels and creams to firm the skin and improve circulation, pigment and texture. After 30 minutes of having luxurious creams massaged into my skin with a pulsating LED want, I felt relaxed and looked refreshed.
Photo rejuvenation is said to benefit not just those looking to reduce lines, but people who suffer from acne, rosacea and other irritations by destroying bacteria and calming the skin.
